Well it has been quiet over the past few months on this.
The plans were to be discussed at the planning committee in May but this was pulled due to further work and little heard since. The Beacon Action Group have had few updates except THIS ONE saying the plans had not been withdrawn contrary to rumours.
So now we have the Birmingham Post and it’s reported Neil Elkes say that new plans could be for a religious museum/retreat etc for the site, this can be seen HERE. I encourage everyone to read the piece before commenting (if anyone does).
Neil confirmed further on twitter that these new plans are at a very early stage at the moment.
I can say I heard a rumour of something happening about 4 months ago and thus this does not surprise me at all. The main key for any development for my point of view was the security of the land for the people living close by and esp on Netherhall/Park Farm.
We will have to see if plans come forward for any new proposal which would I suspect be not with the current owners who would sell up.
