From the Yam Yam, was bad today around the Chester/Queslett Road Island and I saw the crack on Sunday looked bad then !

Emergency repairs are to be carried out on the B4154, Beacon Road in the Aldridge and Pheasey area of Walsall. A stretch of the road from Pinfold Lane to Bridle Lane was closed at 2pm today (Tuesday) after workers carrying routine repairs discovered a crack this morning.

Crews are on standby at these points to inform motorists and are also at Collinwood Drive and the Sutton Road/Beacon Hill traffic lights.

Diversions will be put in place overnight.

It is not yet known how long the diversion will be in place until further detailed investigations are completed but work will be carried out as quickly as possible.

The emergency services and bus companies have been informed and motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible.
