I have just received the following email for the planning decision on McDonalds to be decided on the 20th June. I have made my stance perfectly clear on this and my letter was clear on my reasons against this. Therefore I see no reason to attend the meeting to repeat this.
In the official planning app there is no decision there yet from the planning officers and emailed them copying in Chris Towe, Mike Bird and Adrian Andrew for visibility and any official comments they may want to make I will add to this post in due course.
To make it clear I believe if this is allowed then the chaos that will result at the Trees Island will be dangerous at peak times and course further accidents on an Island that is now dangerous. I now avoid this island as much as possible either car or bike because it is a death trap. Just stand there for an hour as I did a while ago and see what happens now.

I have had a reply back from the council planning committee at 17.42 and seems like it has been recommend to be approved. A bad day for the Trees area and Pheasey in general for traffic problems, coming off Romney Way will be a nightmare and worse than it is now.
Thank you for your email.
I can confirm the officer recommendation in their committee report is as follows:
Planning Committee resolve to Delegate to the Head of Planning & Building Control to Grant Planning Permission Subject to Conditions and S106 to secure the Travel Plan and subject to:
- No further comments from a statutory consultee raising material planning considerations not previously addressed;
- The amendment and finalising of conditions.
The committee reports are due for publication shortly and will appear online here:https://cmispublic.walsall.gov.uk/cmis/Committees/CurrentCommittees/tabid/153/ctl/ViewCMIS_CommitteeDetails/mid/578/id/522/Default.aspx (click on the meeting date)
