Appeal for Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator

I received this email requesting volunteers for the position. It is important that this role is filled and I can not volunteer for it.

Is anyone else interested ?

Hello Ian,

You may recall that I wrote to you and all the other NHW supporters in Pheasey Park Farm seeking a volunteer or volunteers to take on the role of the scheme coordinator. Were you thinking, I might be interested in that if no one else steps forward? Well disappointingly and surprisingly, no one else did step forward.

We are really keen to keep your scheme alive. We cannot do that without local representation. I was prompted to write again, having read on social media about several issues which appear to have occurred in or near your area recently.

This is what I wrote previously; –

It is with some disappointment that I write to let you know that the Coordinator of your Neighbourhood Watch has moved out of your area, There is an urgent need to appoint someone from the neighbourhood to take over the role so the NHW scheme can stay in place.

Please use the reply button below to ask any questions and discuss what is involved. It is not onerous. In fact, a coordinator can be as proactive as he or she wishes. There is even the opportunity to share the role if that is preferred.

The scheme has a membership of over 200 already with scope for this to grow. It plays an important part in helping to reduce anti social behaviour and the fear of being a victim of crime.

There are strong teams of coordinators to support one another and we have close links with the local policing teams. The Area Association also supports coordinators with any administration questions, ideas and guidance.

If you are looking for a voluntary role where you can really make a difference within your own community then please get in touch.

Look forward to hearing from you.
